Video-sharing app Mitron, the so-called rival of Chinese app TikTok, is not 'made in India'. The Mitron app gained a lot of attention amid the growing clamour for 'Make-in-India' However, the media reports revealed that the app was never really made by an IIT student in the country. Instead, its entire source code, including its features and user interface, was bought from a Pakistani software developer company, Qboxus.
