TikTok to leave Hong Kong in a few days after new security law imposed by China

ByteDance-owned TikTok has decided to exit its operations in Hong Kong after China imposed the new security law in the city and is moving ahead with regulating the internet. Facebook have suspended processing government requests for user data in the region following the imposition of the national security law. TikTok has 150,000 users in Hong Kong and it had earlier denied complying with the Chinese government's requests.
