Telecom companies penalised with Rs 3.2 crores for call drop in 12 months

Telecom operators have been given a penalty of Rs 3.2 crores for a call drop between September 2018 - June 2019, stated by Sanjay Dhotre the Minister of state for communication. The highest financial disincentive of around Rs. 1.76 crores is imposed on Vodafone Idea. The minimum penalty has been imposed on Reliance Jio of around Rs. 6.5 lakhs. Rs. 47.5 lakh imposed on government-owned BSNL and 34 lakhs on Bharti Airtel.
