Sony working on finger-tracking VR controller

Past patents had suggested that Sony is designing an advanced finger-tracking for a new VR motion controller, most likely for the PlayStation Move 2, to be paired with an unannounced PSVR 2 headset. Now a new video from Sony researchers gives a much clearer look at that work. It’s a prototype for a controller like Valve’s Index Controllers. Sensors here can tell when a user is gripping the device with their fingers.
