China aims to lead over the US & other countries in the development race for next-gen cellular mobile communications. Shanghai claims to be the world's first district to develop & use 5G coverage & broadband gigabit network. 5G is the next-gen cellular network with 10-100 times faster download speeds. China MObiles took trial runs & officially started service in Shanghai where 5G base stations are deployed for full coverage.
