Content HeadThe UK Government has announced that the testing of partially self-driving semi trucks would be conducted by 2018. Using a concept called "platooning", the self-driving trucks will travel in a small convoy of three and will be connected via Wi-Fi. The trials will be part of a £8.1 million scheme to test the feasibility of truck ‘platooning’. Initial trials will take place in private locations before hitting busiest roads.
