Scientists obtained DNA from an ancient chewing gum that had toothmarks of a woman who lived 6000 years ago in Scandinavia. They deciphered the entire genetic code of the woman & worked out how she might have looked like. It's the 1st time an entire ancient human genome has been derived from anything other than human bone. The presence of tooth marks implies that the matter was chewed to make it malleable or relieve ailments.
