Samsung Galaxy S20 first to get new USB fast charging certification

Samsung is now the first company to receive USB fast charger certification from USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). Galaxy S20 series has become the first smartphone series to earn “Certified USB Fast Charger” status for Programmable Power Supply (PPS) feature and USB-Power Delivery 3.0. With PPS a device can request changes in voltage and current from the charger, effectively making way for cooler charging.
