Russia Aerospace forces claim S-500 will be capable of shooting down hypersonic weapons in space

After huge success and worldwide recognition of its air defence system S-400, Russia is actively working towards the development of a more advanced version called S-500. The S-500 Prometey ("Prometheus"), also known as 55R6M "Triumfator-M", is a universal complex of long-range and high-altitude interception. Russia claims it is a first generation space-defence network capable of destroying hypersonic weapons in space.
