Report says more than half of the world's total population now uses social media

The new Digital 2020 July Global Statshot report from Hootsuite and We Are Social claimed that more than half of the world's total population now use social media. Report said that 3.96 billion people use social media accounting for roughly 51% of the global population. Worldwide the number of social media users have surged by more than 10% over the past 12 months, more than 376 million new users added since July 2019.
