Pandit Jasraj receives honour of minor planet named after him

A minor planet, between Mars and Jupiter, has been named after Pandit Jasraj, a legend of Indian classical vocal music. The planet which was discovered on November 11, 2006, is now known as 'Panditjasraj', which traverses around Mars and Jupiter. With this honour, Pandit Jasraj has become the first Indian musician to join the galaxy of immortal composers like Mozart, Beethoven and Tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
