Over 11,000 techies quit TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Tech Mahindra in last three months

The coronavirus pandemic has hard hit almost every sector and as a consequence, India's top five software firms reported a sequential decline in the total strength of employees in the quarter for the first time due to lesser hiring. For April-June quarter, TCS' headcount went down by 4,786, Infosys by 3,138, HCL Tech by 136, Wipro by 1,082 and Tech Mahindra by 1,820. In all, 10,962 people left these software firms during the quarter.
