More than 1,100 people suspected of using cryptocurrencies to launder illegal proceeds have been arrested by China's Ministry of Public Security. China has intensified the crackdown against those involved in cryptocurrency trading in the past few weeks. The State Council has said that it will clamp down on bitcoin mining and trading in the country in the coming days. Over 170 criminal groups have been busted in China.
