Zomato said the delivery boy Moinuddin Pathan arrested by Gujarat police in connection with Kamlesh Tiwari's murder was never an employee of Zomato. Zomato claims all their delivery partners are freelancers and Pathan had ceased to work with the company on Oct 6. Between 17 Aug & 6 Oct, he worked part-time with Zomato in Surat. The company received flak from users over consumer safety on social media.
