Search for oxygen on other planets outside of our solar system helps in search for life outside Earth. Now, astronomers have a new method for detecting oxygen on exoplanets. It will detect the strong signal created when oxygen molecules are in a collision in the atmospheres of exoplanets. NASA's James Webb Space Telescope, to be launched in 2021, will peer into the atmospheres of exoplanets searching for this signal.
