New Android malware can hack Google Authenticator

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is touted to be one of the best options to protect your accounts and services, and Google Authenticator is the most popular app in this process. Unfortunately, a new Android malware can steal even these 2FA codes from Google’s app. According to a report from a security firm Threatfabric, a variant of the Cerberus banking trojan with this ability was first discovered in January 2020.
