Netflix freebies results in 8 lakh app downloads in India

Online streaming giant Netflix’s two day free streaming has finally bore fruit as it witnessed eight lakh mobile downloads of the app in India, according to analytics firm Apptopia. Billed as ‘StreamFest’ the online streaming giant saw a 2570% increase in downloads as compared to last week. Globally, the Reed Hastings-owned platform saw 1.3 Mn downloads for the free trial period.
