Saturn is in the outer region of our solar system, far away from Sun. But it still has upper atmospheric temperature as high as our Earth. Now, scientists might have found the most possible answer for this mysterious phenomenon analyzing the data from NASA’s Cassini mission. New analysis suggests the electric current auroras present at Saturn’s north & south poles might be the primary source of this mysterious heat.
