US-based space agency NASA has decided that it will pay companies to mine resources on the moon. The space agency announced that it would buy rocks, dirt and other lunar materials from the private firms. “The bottom line is we are going to buy some lunar soil for the purpose of it demonstrating that it can be done,” NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine wrote in a blog. The firms will send robots to mine lunar resources.
