A new type of malware has been infecting computers worldwide turning them into Bitcoin generators, warns Microsoft. Security researchers claim the malware Dexphot has become a major threat since at least October 2018 and was at its peak in June infecting almost 80,000 different machines. However, the good news is the number of infected computers has now steadily decreased because of swift mitigation efforts.
