The data breach of over 3,80,000 credit cards that occurred through British Airways' website on August 21 has been attributed to 'Magecart' injecting credit card skimming malware code directly on BA's website and mobile app. The credit card information on the payment page of each customer was forwarded to the fake site running on a private server in Romania being run by the hackers each time a customer bought a ticket.
