NASA astronauts on board the International Space Station (ISS) will be at life risk if they are exposed to conditions outside the Earth’s atmosphere for more than six months, a documentary has claimed. The bigger danger which threatens the astronauts' lives is cosmic rays circulating in the void as it’s capable of penetrating cells and destroying human DNA. On Earth, the magnetic field shields us from these rays.
