Libra: US Congress asks Facebook to pause development

US Congress has ordered Facebook to stop any development on its Libra cryptocurrency until lawmakers wrap up the investigation over the ramifications of Facebook’s actions. Although Facebook is leading the development of Libra and will create the first consumer “wallet” for Libra through its Calibra subsidiary, the main development will be done by Libra Association, an organization headquartered in Geneva.
