According to the American space agency NASA, Chandrayaan's Vikram lander had a hard landing on the surface of the moon. NASA released some images captured by its Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter on September 17. "Vikram had a hard landing and the precise location of the spacecraft in the lunar highlands is yet to be determined," NASA said after releasing the pictures of the landing site. NASA will again try to spot the lander in Oct.
