Karnataka to take up app-based crop survey, a first in the country

Rural development minister Krishna Byre Gowda said Karnataka will go with app-based crop survey to ascertain the exact land under various crops in the state during the Kharif & Rabi seasons. And Rs 90 crore has already been approved for this purpose. As per think tank NITI Aayog, no other state has taken up such an accurate crop survey in India. The survey will provide actual information on land under various crops.
