ISRO to work with railways on alert system

ISRO has started working with Indian Railways to develop a satellite-based real-time alert system. ISRO has developed Integrated circuit chips that will be installed on more than 10000 trains and they will activate by hooters designed to alert once the trains approach the unmanned crossings. Two level crossings will get the hooters in the beginning and then more level crossings on Delhi-Mumbai route will follow.
