Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that India's forest cover has grown by over 15,000 sq km during the 5 years of Modi government. When he was asked about the statement given by Congress spokesperson that government gave permission to cut over 1 crore trees for development projects; Javadekar said Congress leader is selectively picking up the number of trees felled for developmental projects.
