Indians dominate US research field; overtake Chinese in 2020-21: Report

The Open Doors report on international scholars in the US reveals that Indian and Chinese researchers make up 38% of all international scholars in the country. While in 2020-2021, the number of Chinese scholars decreased by 26%, the number of Indian researchers in the US increased by 17%. The United States saw a post-Covid pandemic boom in the number of international scholars in the country after a two-year decline.
