How long should the phone ring before getting disconnected?

Fighting over tariffs and other offers between the telecom companies is usual. However, this time they are fighting over a different issue and that is, how long your phone should ring before being disconnected. Recently, Airtel and Vodafone have reduced the ring duration from 40 secs to 25 secs after Jio did the same to reduce the Interconnect Usage charge. Airtel complained to TRAI that this is inconvenient for the users.
