Government reacts to WhatsApp lawsuit, says 'no intention to violate right to privacy'

The Indian government today said it has no intention to violate the Right to Privacy in reaction to a lawsuit filed by Facebook-owned WhatsApp against new IT rules. Government is committed to ensure the Right of Privacy to all its citizens but at the same time it is also the responsibility of the government to maintain law and order and ensure national security, said Ravi Shankar Prasad.
