Google working on ‘unified’ messaging app

Google is reportedly working on a mobile app to unify various Google services right now. The new app will be part of its G-Suite collection of enterprise services and will bring together the functions of a number of standalone apps the company offers, including Gmail and its online storage service Drive, Hangout Meet and Hangout Chat. The upcoming app will surely compete with the likes of Microsoft Teams and Slack.
