The ISRO said that the launch of India’s 1st Geo Imaging Satellite, GISAT-1, has been postponed due to technical reasons. The revised launch date will be announced soon. The 2268 kg GISAT-1 will provide a real-time image of a large area of a region of interest at frequent intervals. It will also allow quick monitoring of natural disasters, episodic events & any short-term events. The launch was scheduled for Mar 5.
