Germans can now scan ID cards in iOS 13; other countries to follow soon

Now you can scan ID cards with iPhones running iOS 13. Germans can take advantage of Apple's upcoming software support for NFC identification documents to allow residents to scan their ID cards and use them both online as well as for check-ins at international airports. Japanese too will get the option of scanning NFC-ID cards. The UK will allow citizens to scan passports irrespective of Brexit happens or not.
