For the first time in history, a pond of water has been discovered inside the crater of Kilauea volcano in Hawaii. This could lead to more explosive eruptions in the future. Researchers confirmed the presence of water after seeking about a mysterious green patch at the bottom of the volcano's Halemaumau crater. Halemaumau has never had water since written observations began, which makes the pond unusual.
