The first test flight of the GE9X has been successfully conducted by the GE Aviation. It is considered to be the world's largest jet engine with its varied features including 11.2ft diameter front fan over 100,000 pounds of thrust put out by its new combustor. This has been done with an aim of hauling more people per flight and this is only possible by appropriately massive engines.
