The US disaster relief agency FEMA exposed private info of 2.3 mn of hurricane & wildfires survivors to an outside contractor. The disaster survivors provided info to the FEMA while applying for transitional sheltering in hotels. FEMA now has taken actions to correct their mistake & no longer sharing any info; also conducted a review of the contractor's information system. It has found that no data has been compromised.
