Facebook's Oculus set to release Horizon, a networking platform for virtual reality

Facebook Horizon, an "ever-expanding VR-world" where people can interact as digital avatars, was announced on Wednesday by its virtual reality unit Oculus. CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the programme at a conference in San Jose, California and said the product will launch as a closed beta test in 2020. Users can interact on a virtual square with each other using "magic-like portals — called telepods."
