German authorities have imposed a $2.3 million fine on Facebook under the law to condemn hate speech. They said that social media had failed to meet the transparency requirements regarding hate speech complaints. It said the information about the language skills and training of the staff is vague and incomplete. They said FB's report for the first half of 2018 regarding hate speech didn't match the actual number.
