Facebook messenger bug exposed user data

Researchers have claimed that a bug in Facebook messenger has exposed user data and allowed websites to use that information. The researchers said that Browser-based side-channel attacks are often overlooked and that is how this attack was performed on end-users' web browser. Globally Facebook messenger has 1.3 billion users. The report came a day after Zuckerberg promised to make Facebook 'privacy-focussed'.
