Facebook has removed 200 pages, groups and accounts on Facebook and Instagram in Philippines, citing "coordinated inauthentic behavior". Facebook’s investigation found such activity was linked to a network organized by a person named Nic Gabunada, former chief executive of Omnicom Media Group Philippines. From January 2014 to March 2019, this network of accounts has spent $59,000 in advertisements on Facebook.
