Facebook becomes first non-Google app to pass 5 billion installs on Android

FB's popularity as the world's largest social networking service no longer comes as a surprise. After reporting an 8% year-over-year increase in both daily & monthly active users for 2019's 2nd quarter. It was also noticed that main FB app has 5 billion + installs to its name in Google Play, joining a select group of only 7 other apps & services- YouTube, Google Maps, Google Search, Gmail, Google text-to-speech 7 Chrome.
