Facebook allegedly knew about its algorithm might have promoted extremist groups

Facebook has a long struggle with controlling contents from extremist groups on its popular platform. However, according to a new study suggests that Facebook was aware that its algorithm can fuel extremism and yet they did not act on it. They had shelved their presentation on it and had left those algorithms unchecked on the platform, while the users were being fed with more extremist contents worldwide.
