According to a senior official of consultancy firm EY, the Indian companies bettered their response against increased cyberattacks after "total chaos" during the first three months of the lockdown. EY has ruled in its Global Integrity Report 2020 that the hackers tried to exploit the fears in the mind of people and uncertainty around the virus. The attackers increased phishing and ransomware attacks.
