The European Union rejected Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's proposal on online content regulation. EU rejected the proposal mentioning that the social networking platform must take responsibility for harmful, fake and illegal content. After meeting Zuckerberg in Brussels, EU industry commissioner Thierry Breton said the proposed Internet rules are insufficient and it was for Facebook to adopt Europe's standards.
