Alphabet Inc, Google's parent company, has reportedly selected Dixon Technologies, a local contract manufacturer in India, to produce its high-end Pixel 8 smartphones. The Economic Times reports that the trial production phase is already underway. The first batch of these made-in-India devices is anticipated to hit the market by September. Google's decision to manufacture in India is aimed at meeting the demands of the domestic market and potentially for exports as well.
