Cybersecurity agency takes down more than 100 malicious Chrome extensions, advises users to be careful

The government's cybersecurity agency Computer Emergency Response Team of India has removed more than 100 malicious Google Chrome extensions after they were found collecting sensitive user data. The agency has advised internet users to exercise caution while installing Google Chrome extensions. As per the agency, the malicious extensions contained code to bypass Google Chrome’s Web store security scans.
