A team of scientists claimed to have identified nearly 70 drugs and experimental compounds that may help treat the COVID-19 disease. As per a report, more than a third of the drugs have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and are already used to treat several conditions such as diabetes, cancer and hypertension. The researchers suggested that repurposing drugs may be a faster way to find treatments.
