Chinese city to turn coronavirus app into permanent health tracker

Hangzhou, a Chinese city will make the health-tracking app used as part of coronavirus response a permanent health tracker for its population of 10 million. Versions of this popular app have already been used throughout mainland China after its introduction in Hangzhou. It has a specific QR code with a particular person’s virus status, which can be used to identify the extent to which he/she is allowed to move.
