Changes in UPC generation as new MNP comes into effect today

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) revised the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) process which allows mobile subscribers to switch operators without changing their numbers. The new MNP rules come into effect from today according to which, the Unique Porting Code will be generated only when the subscriber is eligible to port-out his mobile number. UPC will be generated after positive validation of certain conditions.
