News EditorThe ISRO said that Chandrayaan-2's orbiter detected a series of solar flares over a 24-hour period starting from Sept 30 midnight with the help of Solar X-ray Monitor (XSM). However, ISRO won't be able to do much with the current set of readings due to unfavourable angles at which the orbiter, the Moon & the Sun are currently placed. The orbiter has another instrument CLASS which can identify elements on Moon's surface.
